Operate or tend washing or dry-cleaning machines to wash or dry-clean industrial or household articles, such as cloth garments, suede, leather, furs, blankets, draperies, linens, rugs, and carpets. Includes spotters and dyers of these articles.

Our Staff are responsible for cleaning, pressing, ironing, mending and sewing a variety of different items, but most often clothing.  Dry cleaner staff workers are also responsible for operating machines such as washers, dryers, dry cleaners and extractors. They must often presoak, sterilize, scrub or dry contaminated or stained items before loading them into the machines. Some dry cleaners offer additional services such as ironing, pressing or steaming certain items before pickups.
